i’ve never been much of a dancer

but i have the urge to dance, like choreographed dances. i miss modern practices. i guess aéro dance and zumba every week will have to do?

i wish that i took dance classes when i was little, but apparently i didn’t want to. i liked karate and basketball better.

On repeat, along with the cover done by Ingrid Michaelson and the one by Walk Off the Earth, thanks to D & Face

I don’t really like big crowds. I tend to shut people out. I like my space…

Life is more than work and getting the corner office, more than 4.0 GPAs and more than pleasing everyone on planet Earth. Sometimes in life, we are presented with situations where sacrifices must be made, but those are exceptions, not the rule. You have to “do you” and be happy doing you……When life gets a little crazy, we forget what’s important and what truly matters, but at the end of the day, remember to just do you and everything else will fall perfectly into place.

“I feel like 2011 will be a good year for me… graduating… and hopefully good things will happen to me. Being positive and trying to achieve all my goals!”

That was a tumblr post from a year ago. 2011 was probably one of the best years I’ve had in a while. From working hard, yet playing harder during my last semester, choreographing an awesome 4th Year Tinikling, part of 4th Year Modern, writing and acting in the skit for my last Barrio, a fun beach week (which resulted in me becoming the darkest that I’ve ever been in my life), GRADUATING from UVA (with a surprise—the whole family being reunited), family vacations, parties, a bummy summer at home, weekend visits with family- including NY and VB, meeting Timbaland and Justin Timberlake (holy crap, still can’t believe that happened), nerf gun wars, and lots of food to making probably the biggest step I’ve ever taken in my life… moving to France, starting to teach (as an assistant), and traveling… 2011 was a good year. I honestly can’t complain about anything.

This means that 2012 can only be better, right?

2012!

I feel like I should write a post about 2011 and my resolutions for this year… Well I think I did start writing a reflection post a while ago, but we’ll see if I ever finish it/post it.

2011 was a good year, here’s hoping that 2012 is even better!
